The Center for International Strategic Studies (CISS) Islamabad organized a webinar on ‘The Rise of Minilateralism and the Future of Multilateralism in the Asia Pacific’, on 15 November 2023. The discussion brought forth the the concept of minilateralism, a pivotal shift from broad, multilateral agreements to more targeted collaborations among fewer states. As minilateralism gains momentum, it raises important questions about the future balance and effectiveness of multilateralism in shaping the geopolitical landscape of the Asia-Pacific. The Executive Director CISS Ambassador Ali Sarwar Naqvi gave his opening remarks followed by four presentations, an Interactive Session, and Concluding Remarks by Dr. Atia Ali Kazmi, Director Research CISS.
